Manage and update a WordPress site with Elementor

This training course enables participants to become self-sufficient in updating the content of a WordPress site designed with Elementor: showcase pages, service pages, landing pages, blog articles, contact forms, etc. They will be able to respond quickly to their organisation’s needs (update an offer, modify a page, correct a visual, add a section) without systematically relying on a technical service provider, while respecting the existing layout.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

Navigate the WordPress admin interface to access pages, posts, menus, and media.
To modify the content of an existing website: text, images, links, buttons, content blocks.
Using Elementor to edit a page: sections, columns, widgets, templates.
Duplicate an Elementor page or section to create new content while keeping the same design.
Adapting an Elementor page for responsive display (computer, tablet, mobile).
Apply simple best practices to keep a website clean, readable and consistent (graphic charter, title hierarchy, image quality).

Teaching Methods and Resources

Theoretical presentations: Presentation of key concepts of WordPress and Elementor in the context of a website already in production (role of WordPress, role of Elementor, where to find what).
Live demonstrations: The trainer shows, on a demo site, how to edit an existing page, replace an image, update a text block, and adjust an Elementor section.
Practical exercises: Each participant carries out step-by-step updates on standard pages (home page, services page, contact page): modifying text, changing visuals, adding sections, duplicating Elementor blocks.
Case studies: Analysis of several Elementor pages (before/after) to understand what makes a layout clear, consistent, and readable.
Assessment of acquired knowledge: Quiz and mini-scenario at the end of the training course: participants must make a small series of changes to an Elementor page, following the template.

Training Content

Session 1 (3.5 hours): Managing content and discovering Elementor

Reminder: structure of a WordPress site already online (pages, articles, media, menus). Accessing the right areas:

  • Difference between “edit with WordPress” and “edit with Elementor”
  • Identify which pages are built with Elementor.
Update traditional content:
  • Edit the text on a page
  • Update a blog post
  • Add/replace an image in the media library
Getting started with the Elementor interface:
  • Open a page with Elementor
  • Understanding the structure: sections, columns, widgets
  • Use the left panel and the browser
  • History / undo a change (safely go back)
Editing an existing page with Elementor:
  • Change a title, paragraph, image, or button
  • Edit a link (URL, “Contact” button, etc.)
Practical workshop:

Session 2 (3.5 hours): Going further with Elementor and organising updates

Duplicate to save time:

  • Duplicating an Elementor section or widget
  • Create a new page from an existing template (template/cloned page).

Layout richer content:

  • Add a new section.
  • Use common widgets: headings, text, images, icons, separators, buttons, icon lists, FAQs (accordion).

Managing graphic consistency:

  • Respect the existing typography, colours and spacing.
  • Use global options if available (global styles/templates).

Check responsive display:

  • Computer/tablet/mobile previews.
  • Adjust margins/spacing so that the page remains readable on mobile devices.

Practical case study: “offer page”:

  • Update a service or offer page (text, sales pitches, visuals, calls to action)
  • Add a new “testimonial block” or “guarantee block” section with Elementor.

Create an update checklist:

  • What to check before publishing: links, spelling, visual consistency, mobile
  • Mark pages to monitor regularly.

Final workshop:

  • Each participant carries out a series of updates on one or more Elementor pages according to a given scenario (e.g. new offer, new section, change of visuals).

Feedback and discussions to measure the assimilation of acquired knowledge.
Summative Assessment:
MCQ during the final session to validate all acquired skills.
