By the end of this training, participants will have discovered the foundations required to understand how n8n works, the principles of no-code automation, and the main professional uses made possible by workflows, APIs, and artificial intelligence.
This training helps participants understand how automation can reduce repetitive tasks, limit human error, and improve productivity.
By the end of this introductory course, they will be able to identify how to:
- automate certain administrative processes;
- synchronise several digital tools;
- transfer information between different applications;
- integrate an artificial intelligence model into a process;
- identify use cases that could benefit from more advanced automation.
- This training is a first step before an intermediate-level practical course in which participants learn to design and configure their own automations.

The training is delivered remotely in a virtual classroom via a videoconferencing platform. The session alternates between:
- theoretical presentations;
- live demonstrations by the trainer;

Training content
Module 1: Discover n8n and understand how it works (45 min)
- What is automation?
- Introduction to n8n and its main professional uses.
- Exploring the interface.
- Defining workflows, triggers, nodes, and actions.
- Understanding how data flows through a workflow.
- Guided demonstration of a first simple workflow.
Module 2: Understand the logic behind building a workflow (1 hour)
- Introduction to the main types of nodes.
- Conditions (If), expressions, and loops: their roles and simple examples.
- Exploring connections with Google Sheets and Gmail.
- Introduction to webhooks and APIs.
- Exploring artificial intelligence nodes (OpenAI, Claude, etc.).
- Guided demonstration: based on simple business needs, the trainer explains how to identify the trigger, choose the applications, define the workflow stages and data flow, and determine the expected result.
Module 3: Demonstrations of professional use cases (1 hour 45 min)
Use case 1: Automated billing estimate
The trainer builds a live workflow that can:
- receive a customer request from a form;
- retrieve project information;
- automatically calculate an estimate using simple rules;
- generate a description or a pre-filled quotation;
- save the data in Google Sheets;
- prepare or automatically send an email to the customer.
Concepts covered: webhooks, forms, Google Sheets, conditions, calculations, Gmail, and the use of AI to generate a quotation description.
Use case 2: Email processing assistant
The trainer presents a second workflow that can:
- monitor incoming emails;
- analyse their content using artificial intelligence;
- classify messages according to their type;
- extract important information;
- save data in Google Sheets or Notion;
- notify a team via Slack or Microsoft Teams.
This demonstration illustrates the possibilities offered by n8n. It does not require participants to perform any actions.

Formative assessment
- Questions and answers throughout the training.
- Progressive checks of participants’ understanding of the concepts covered.
- Group analysis of the stages and choices presented by the trainer.
Summative assessment
- End-of-training quiz or questionnaire.
- Assessment of knowledge covering the fundamentals of n8n, workflow components, and the main use cases.

Technical support arrangements
Technical support is available to resolve any difficulties connecting to the virtual classroom. If a problem occurs, the trainer can be contacted by email, SMS, or WhatsApp to ensure continuity of the training.
